Here are my tips for a healthier lifestyle…if you adopt just ONE of these tips in your life, I promise it will be worth it! 1. Drink one ounce of water per pound that you weigh every day. Eliminate (or minimize) sugary drinks and soda from your diet; they are just unnecessary calories! 2. Keep track of what you eat! You will be surprised how well this works for making you aware of your diet. Online calorie tracking resources are best, because they provide you with accurate calorie counts and calories burned vs. intake reports. Online calorie tracking resources: – www.livestrong.comwww.sparkpeople.com 3. Use supplements, but use them wisely. Only take supplements that you cannot achieve through your normal diet. “Overdosing” on vitamins does not have any additional health benefits. My recommendations for vitamins: -Origins; Hair, Skin and Nails -One-A-Day; Womens Active Metabolism -Flinstones (or any generic brand) Chewable Daily Vitamins (YUM!) 4. Exercise at least 30 minutes every day! Get your heart rate elevated; cardio is key. You will have so much energy after you start exercising regularly. You don’t need to join a gym in order to “work out”- you can run up and down a flight of stairs, jog around the block, or do jumping jacks in your living room and get the same benefits as a treadmill or elliptical machine. Let me know if you have any questions!! I wish you the best of luck on your journey to a healthier lifestyle! My Formspring Account: www.formspring.me

@lauraraelynn Yep! The Blackberry App is free; I actually found it through the BlackBerry World Application on my phone which has tons of free applications. I absolutely love the program; it’s the best calorie counter I have ever tried!

@baybeetxox oooh! I wish I had an itouch!

I reeeallly like the Origins Hair Skin and Nails vitamins. It took me about a week or so when I first started using them to see a difference, but after that, my skin looked a lot better and my nails and hair were growing at record speed! Right now I am really inconsistent about taking the vitamins but I still see a difference when I use them for a few days in a row. I am still shocked at how quickly my hair started to grow from the vitamins!

@symmetricalastic That’s awesome!! I actually really don’t like the taste of soda (I don’t like sweet drinks!) but every once in a while I crave the carbonation and splurge on a bottle of 7-up or root beer. I don’t know how people can drink those “big gulps” from convenience stores- gross!

  15. ebee228 says:

@MissMorena21 Yes! I am in the Army National Guard

  16. ebee228 says:

@liisilu I only take supplements if for some reason I wasn’t able to include the 100% daily value of the nutrient in my meals for that day (if I am busy or somehow forget to consume enough iron, calcium, etc.) Vitamins are definitely best when achieved through food, but using a supplement is better than nothing when used sparingly.

@madisonrosex3 I couldnt find any with the flip top, only the screw-off lids! 🙁 I will try Dicks Sporting Goods or Sports Authority this week!

  18. ebee228 says:

@LoveJamieCorinne Thanks!! Keep me posted on your progress! 🙂

  19. LoveJamieCorinne says:

Thanks for doing this(: Monday I am starting my healthy lifestyle

  20. madisonrosex3 says:

They have some nice refillable water bottles at target that have a flip top! You should check them out 🙂

  21. liisilu says:

Sorry, I don’t want to offend you, but: You can easily achieve all vitamins you need through healthy food – taking “isolated” vitamin C in supplements can actually cause cancer! I’m from Germany – maybe we are just conservative greenies but my doctor explained that to me…

  22. MissMorena21 says:

    you’re in the military?

  23. symmetricalastic says:

I haven’t drank soda for in six or seven years. It isn’t healthy and it causes cavities.

  24. baybeetxox says:

Helpful, thanks! I have a calorie tracker on my iTouch called Lose It! Do the Origins hair skin and nails really help? Have you seen any improvements?

  25. elvali0205 says:

thaz pretty helpful…i think imma try that…thx
