MYLIFELINE: Connect-Inspire-Heal

I stumbled on MyLifeLine via a local Denver radio station interview. The founder, Marcia Donziger, an ovarian cancer survivor, has established a great non-profit organization whose mission is to reach out and connect cancer patients, survivors and their caregivers.

“Through my own experiences with cancer, I realize the importance for cancer patients and survivors to receive support with sensitivity, compassion, inspiration, and humor. Our goal with MyLifeLine is to serve cancer patients as well as their caregivers, family, and friends.”

MyLifeLine offers free customized web pages to encourage connecting and support among those touched by cancer.

Imerman Angels: One-On-One Cancer Support

Based in Chicago, Imerman Angels reaches out across the U.S. to connect individual cancer fighters with cancer surviors for a one-on-one support relationship. Each relationship is unique and special, defined by the individuals. This not-for-profit organization was founded by Jonny Imerman, a testicular cancer survivor.

This organization not only spans the U.S. but has international affiliates.

“Founded in 1982, The Wellness Community is an international non-profit organization dedicated to providing free support, education and hope to people with cancer and their loved ones. Through participation in professionally-led support groups, educational workshops, nutrition and exercise programs, and stress-reduction classes, people affected by cancer learn vital skills that enable them to regain control, reduce isolation and restore hope regardless of the stage of their disease. ”
