Recapping October 9, 2005 News

WooHoo!

After 20 weeks, Yvonne as reached her lifetime goal. She now has 3 awards received from Weight Watchers ..

* A keychain for reaching her first 10% goal loss
* Congratulations you’ve reached 16 Weeks attachment for the keychain.. and this
* A GOLD STAR reaching Lifetime Goal!

So … What’s Next?

Now – it’s business as usual for the next six weeks for Yvonne. She now is officially on “Maintenance” mode. This means that she has to add ADDITIONAL flex points to the already 35 extra flexpoints .. by increasing her daily point count by 4 points.

If she is still losing weight by more than 2 pounds each week, she will add another 2 points per day. If she is gaining more than 2 pounds each week, she will reduce the count by 2 points each week. At the end of six weeks, if she remains within 2 points of this lifetime goal weight .. she WILL become a lifetime member.

And what happens with Lifetime Membership?

1) No weekly fees – FREE !! – Forever! ..
2) She will have to weigh in every month and maintain with 2 pounds of this goal, to keep the fees to be Free. I believe she is entitled to a few mistakes, but if she gains it back she will have to start paying and return to weekly visits and possibly membership renewal fees

Way to Go Booboo… 😀 *smoooooch*

Hopefully we’ll both be Membership-Fee-Free by 2006.

Recapping September 3, 2005 to October 7, 2005

Week 16

Sep 03, 2005 – Sep 09, 2005

YVONNE
– This week – (0.4) pounds lost
– Cumulative – (27.0) pounds lost

HART
– This week – (0.8) pounds lost
– Cumulative – (24.6) pounds lost

Both Yvonne and I had excuses this week, but are both of us are happy to be down….

  • Yvonne – her knee was aggravated and she didn’t go to workouts this past week, while recuperating
  • Hart – enjoyed Palatal Mongolian StirFry, Pizza, and a few beers and a Burger this week, when he probably should have been more mindful of the Points.
  • >> Back on schedule and routine now!

    Week 17

    Sep 10, 2005 – Sep 16, 2005

    YVONNE
    – This week – (1.0) pounds lost
    – Cumulative – (28.0) pounds lost

    HART
    – This week – (3.2) pounds lost
    – Cumulative – (26.8) pounds lost

    Wow! Good for me .. Honestly, I thought I should be “up” this week because the temperature has been getting slightly colder. Rather than the nice white pair of short pants that I have been wearing all summer, I have been reluctantly gone to back wearing my ‘ole “725” jeans. It’s a different fit around the waist, and I think it makes you more conscious if you are fat or not. With the short pants, they fit your waist. With the pants, it’s like it buttons up below your waist and your stomach gut is hanging over the edge.

    Yvonne and I have been attending Weight Watchers for 17 weeks now, starting the 18th week today. The lady at the weigh in noticed that after 16 weeks, we should each get the above little knick-knack to add to our keychains. It’s a congratulatory hands shaking with “16” on it.

    Week 18

    Sep 17, 2005 – Sep 23, 2005

    YVONNE
    – This week – (1.8) pounds lost
    – Cumulative – (29.8) pounds lost

    HART
    – This week + 0.2 pounds gained
    – Cumulative – (26.6) pounds lost

    *sigh* Oh well .. you go up .. you go down .. Hopefully .. the trend will continue downwards .. Honestly, I thought I would be up about 3-5 pounds, because Last Saturday my flex-point count ended up something like 48 points (my daily allotment is 31) .. So, out of the 35 extra weekly flex points that were available, I was already half way spent. I think that had a psychological effect on me, because I noticed going through my log book, that times I might have a snack after midnight, and I was already in negative points for the day (twice) I just added the snack to the next day’s points .. instead of reducing my weekly flex bonus points. I got back on track by Wednesday though, and just barely made it with 2 points left.

    Way-to-go Yvonne (again!)

    Week 19

    Sep 24, 2005 – Sep 30, 2005

    YVONNE
    – This week – (2.0) pounds lost
    – Cumulative – (31.8) pounds lost

    HART
    – This week (1.2) pounds lost
    – Cumulative – (27.8) pounds lost

    Way-to-go – to both of us!

    Yvonne has less than 2 pounds to reach her “life time goal” ..
    I need less than 2 pounds to reach my FIRST “10%” goal ..

    Week 20

    Oct 1, 2005 – Oct 7, 2005

    YVONNE
    – This week – (1.4) pounds lost
    – Cumulative – (33.2) pounds lost

    HART
    – This week +2.4 pounds GAINED
    – Cumulative – (25.4) pounds lost

    * YVONNE HAS REACHED HER LIFEFTIME GOAL THIS WEEK! (See separate entry)

    * I didn’t do too well though. Last Saturday, October 1, we celebrated a double birthday party for Herb (father-in-law) and Callie (Yvonne’s neice) and .. Well .. this is what I had and the points I assigned myself….

    * Homemade donut (w/yeast) – 2 points
    * Bretton crackerrs – 12 points
    * Robin’s Donut – 5 points
    * Beer (Lite) – 4 points
    * Chicken Delight Fries – 7 points
    * Chicken Delight Coleslaw – 1 point
    * Chicken Delight Pizza slices – 15 points
    * Chicken Delight Chicken – with skin – 8 points
    * Chicken Delight Chicken – without skin – 3 points
    * Two types of Birthday cakes (1/2 slices of each) – 9 points

    Total — 67 points … My daily alotment of points (31) + weekly alotment of points (35) = 66 points. Naturally, I already had lunch and a snack or two before the supper outing and, started somewhere around 17 points before this wopping 67 points.

    But – that was last week … I am not going to let it get to me … Another day and another day of progess. The occassional step-backs such as above, will happen. The reason I am doing this is for my health care and change of lifestyle. I am a winner regardless.

    This upcoming week, there will be another challenge – Thankgsgiving Dinner tomorrow … Hope I have better control over my portions!
