… Dawn and Paul Bracone were arrested in March on charges they served alcohol to dozens of teens during a January birthday party for their 18-year-old son. Their 21-year-old daughter Christine turned herself in to police Monday on similar charges.

All three Bracones were arrested for risk of injury to a minor and delivery of alcohol to a minor. Paul, 51, and Dawn, 43, of 8 Thatcher Lane, asked a Hartford Superior Court judge last month to be allowed to enter an accelerated rehabilitation program in exchange for having the charges dropped.

While state prosecutor Thomas O’Brien agreed to allow Paul Bracone to plead guilty to a lesser charge, headmonished the couple before the packed courtroom.

“What you did was beyond bad judgment, what you did was illegal,” O’Brien said in court. O’Brien also told Judge Wendy Susco that the family has a substance-abuse problem and that they lied to parents who attempted to make sure kids attending would be supervised during the party.
